Doing Good

Doing Good

Doing Good

A good man/woman is a benevolent, kind, genuine, pleasing, worthy, considerable, virtuous, excellent person. A person that promotes happiness and success.
As human beings, being good to one another is our primary objective on earth. God gave us a just and good commandment so that we can carry out His will, to love one another as we love ourselves.

We sometimes fail to carry out this just law due to past experiences or through hatred or lack of understanding of the word of the Lord. What I mean by past experiences is that people can sometimes pay back evil with evil or not show appreciation.

We sometimes stop helping or doing good to people/ or a person in need of help even though we are in a position to help. As Christians, we must help those in needs no matter what might have happened in the past.

As Christians, if we do not help or stop helping those in need and you are in a position to give that help but instead start giving excuses of your past experience, you are committing a sin before almighty God.

Any help you render to another person, whether the person remembers you or even pays you back with evil deed, God will surely pay you back as long you remain faithful. Stories of Joseph teach us the faithfulness of our Lord.

The Bible narrated the stories of Joseph while he was in the prison regarding the dream the chief butler had after the interpretation of the chief butler dream by Joseph. Book of Genesis 40:14 say, ‘‘think of me when it shall be well with thee, and show kindness, I pray thee, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh’’, but in verse 23 of the same book it says, ‘‘yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him’’. How many of us as such have happened to?

God had given us control over the earth, He also gave us just commandments to follow, and He also revealed the secret of the earth and Heaven to us through our Lord Jesus Christ so that everything can be well with us.

Joseph did have his reward from God because he remained faithful unto the Lord. The same thing can happen to you, if you remain faithful unto Him and continue to be good no matter what situation you find yourselves. The way God does thing, no one knows and the Bible tells us in Genesis 41:1, that at the end of two full years Pharaoh had a dream, but God did it in a way that no one excepted Joseph could interpret the dream [Genesis 41:8].

Do not think God has forgotten all the good deeds you have done. When the time for your reward shall come, it will happen in a miraculous way as it happened to Joseph.

The stories of Rahab the harlot is another one we should learn from, because of her kindness toward the two people Joshua sent to spy the land of Jericho, she found favour from God, not her alone, but the grace was extended to her family.

Joshua 2:1 says, Rahab the harlot took in the two people, in verse 2&3 it says, the king of Jericho asked Rahab to produce the two men, instead of producing them she hid them by putting herself in danger. In verse 12 of Joshua 2, she said unto the two men, ‘now therefore, I pray you, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father’s house.’

In verse 23, the two told Joshua of the event, and how Rahab saved them. The reward of her kindness came in Joshua 6:22-25; Rahab including all her family was saved from dead through her goodness and faithfulness.

In the book of Matthew 5:7; our Lord Jesus said ‘‘blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 25 from verse 31 says, when the Son of man shall come in glory, all nations shall gather before Him, and He shall separate them one from another. And He shall set the sheep on His right, then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you. For when I was hunger, ye gave me meat, I was thirst, ye gave me water, I was a stranger, and you took me inn. Naked, you clothed me: I was sick, you visited me, I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

In verse 40, He said “inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these brethren, ye have done in unto me.” We can see from our Lords teaching that when you give without expecting a reward from human beings, your reward shall surely come from Christ. Roman 12:13 says. Distributing to the necessity of saints, given to hospitality.

God bless

Breaking the yoke of Fear or Fearful, Failures, Insecurity, Witches

Breaking the yoke of Fear or Fearful, Failures, Insecurity, Witches

28

MAY, 2017

Without the gift of Holy Spirit, you cannot break free from above. People may give you confidence, but in your silent moment, you will still feel the same. You may indulge yourself in drinking, socialise, but in your silent moment, you will still feel the same. In public, a friend may build in you, words of confidence, even at Church, your Pastor may build in you words of encouragement, but in your silent moment, you will still feel the same. The only way you can break free from above is when the Holy Spirit is in you.
Let us examine above one by one.

Fear or being fearful means Fright/frightened, Horror, Panic, Afraid, Anxious, Nervous, tense timid, uneasy, scared.
The Holy Spirit will give you a fearless spirit and you will be unafraid.
Failures mean breakdown, collapse, defeat, downfall, overthrow, wreck, neglect, downfall, ruin,
Confidence means certainty, conviction, positivity, satisfaction, security, assurance, boldness, dauntless, fearlessness, self-assurance, self-reliance.

Insecurity means irrelevance, flimsy, unreliability, unsound, unstable, unimportant, negligible, meaningless.
Secure mean safe, immune, protected, firm, unassailable, immovable, stable, steady, assured, certain, sure, acquire, get, obtain, and procure.
The Bible made us know in Exodus 14:10 [When Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them, and they were sore afraid.
In verse 13, And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Verse 14 says, The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

God did fight for them through the Holy Spirit He bestowed on Moses.
Through the fearlessness of David, Goliath was defeated.
Through the fearless of Joseph, he refused the temptation of King Pharaoh’s wife.
And because of the Spirit of God in him, he was freed from prison, and he became an important person in Egypt.
Daniel proved that with God, you have nothing to fear for. In the book of Daniel 1:12, Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days: and let them give us pulses to eat and water to drink. And Bible made us understand in verse 15 that after the ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.
Book of Proverbs 29:25 says, the fear of man brings a snare: however, whoso put his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
Psalm 23:4 – 6: Says, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 27:1 Says, the Lord is my light [Holy Spirit] and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

” And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord. Exodus 14:10

Psalm 118:6 Says, the Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me.
Luke 12: 32 Says, Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Here we can see how our Lord Jesus Christ spoke about the gift of Holy Spirit. In this verse, He says, you can be confident about yourself, do not let anyone put you down or put yourself down, to God, you are a special person/people, and once you allow Holy Spirit to dwell in you, you are over-comer.
If you have a spirit of failure in you, you cannot achieve anything in life, but with the help of Holy Spirit, you can overcome this.
You become a failure when you have a spirit of fear when you loose confident in yourself. But with God, all things are possible.
Ezekiel 3: 14 Says, so the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness; in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.
If you allow Holy Spirit to lift you up, you can regain your confidence and be fearless.
Ezekiel 11:19- 20, Says, And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new Spirit within you, and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh. That they may walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances, and do them, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
2 Corinthians 3:6 Says, who also hath made us able ministers of the new- testament; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.

Destiny

Destiny

27

MARCH, 2017

Destiny mean: fortune, doom. Destined mean: certain or doomed, unavoidable fate. Destiny can lead one to be ordained, appoint to a higher office, or take you to an unexpected place, it can also lead to the unexpected happening which we sometimes question, it may be a good fortune or opposite.

If we look at above definitions, i.e. certain and unavoidable fate, we can now compare the journey of Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Joseph, Job, Daniel, Jeremiah, our Lord Jesus Christ to mention a few, as certain and unavoidable fate.

In the journey of above mentioned people, they all went through a rough part, but at the end it led them to a glory journey. As a Christian we must learn to endure when we are going through a rough part. The book of Habakkuk 2:3 says, for the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie, though it takes a long time, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry. The word surely means certain, either we believe or not, it would certainly happen.

Let us now examine the journey of Abraham. Genesis 12:1 says, now the Lord said to Abram, get out of your country, from your family to the land that I will show you, we can see from this verse how the destiny of Abraham was revealed unto him by Jehovah, but Abraham did not first understand, but because of unavoidable fate, Abram decided to follow the instruction of Jehovah. The book of Exodus 23:20-22 says, behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you. Verse 21 say, beware of him and obey his voice. Verse 22 say, if you indeed obey his voice and do all that I speak. Genesis 12:4, so Abram departed as the Lord had spoken unto him. But Abram journey through a rough part, in verse 9&10 of Genesis 12, so Abram journeyed, he journeys toward the south and there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land. But through the rough part [famine] Abram met his joy and blessing. Verse 16 says, Pharaoh treated Abram well for her sake, he had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants, female donkeys, and camels. Though the bible says Abram was treated well because of his wife, it was the hand work of God who had predestined Abraham journey. God said, He would bless him, and he should move from his country to where He had prepared Abraham blessing, but for him to laid his hand on the blessing, famine have to chased him to the land of Egypt, where God had already stored his blessing.

“I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Exodus 23:20

We can also relate Abraham stories to that of Joseph. He was rejected by his brothers, sold, imprisoned, but the rough part led him to his destiny.
He went through unavoidable fate. As he said in Genesis 45:5&7, but, now, do not therefore grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, God sent me before you to preserve life. And sent me before you to preserve prosperity for you in the earth. Joseph father also went through unexpected fate, but at the end joy cameth. Through the hatred, rejection, sold, imprisoned, Joseph became an important person. Pharaoh told Joseph in Genesis 41:39, you shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word. The above word credited to Pharaoh was what was destined for Joseph. It has already been ordained by God.

Moses stories is not difference, before Moses was even born, there was already proclamation that all male born by an Israelis should be killed during the birth by Egyptian midwives [Exodus 1:15]. The stories of Moses tell us that whatever God had purposed for us, no one can stop it. It may take a way that we can not comprehend, but to God, His ways are unsearchable, God touched the heart of the Egyptian midwives and Moses was not killed during the birth. But for his destiny to be fulfilled, Moses was dumped by the river’s bank by his mother [Exodus2:3], but Moses was rescued by Pharaoh’s daughter who came to bathe at the river [Exodus 2: 5-10]. God had already pre-planned above event, it was just the manifestation of an event that can be made known to man. Though Moses enjoyed during his younger ages, but God planted him in Pharaoh’s palace to prepare him for journey that was ahead of him. Moses been rescued by Pharaoh’s daughter was not an accident, If was God planned so that Moses can grow together with Pharaoh’s son who had been destiny to become Pharaoh and for doomed. God knew before hand that when he become Pharaoh, he will be wicked, evil, and not having fear of God, because of this, God decided to Plant Moses with him, a man he would regard as his brother not as his enemy. God new the task that faces the Israelis in land of Egypt during the time of said Pharaoh. God new that Pharaoh would not give audient to an Israelite. God thought to Himself that the only way he can deal with Pharaoh in fairness was to send someone he can listing to, [Christ said, I will not judge the world until every human being have heard me] and for this purposed, Moses was born, and for him to fulfilled his destiny, he went through good and rough part.

True Repentance

True Repentance

True Repentance

If you return, O Israel, declares the Lord, then you should return to Me, and if you will put away all your detested thing from My presence, and will not waver, and you will not swear, as the Lord lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness, then the nation will bless themselves in Him, and in Him they will glory [Jeremiah 4: 1-2.]

Wash your heart from evil, O Jerusalem, that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts lodge within you? Jeremiah 4:14

Your ways and your deeds have brought these things unto you; this is your evil, because it is bitter, because it has reached unto your heart Jeremiah 4:18

For my people are foolish they know me not, they are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They shrewd to do evil, but to do good, they do not know. Jeremiah 4:22

I looked on the earth, and behold, it was formless and void, and to the heavens, and they have no light. I looked on the mountains, and behold, they were quaking, and all the hills moved to and fro. I looked, and behold, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens had fled. I looked, and behold, the fruitful land was a wilderness, and all cities were pulled down before the Lord, before His fierce anger. Jeremiah 4: 23-26 [Gen. 1]
Repentance

The Red sea became a dry land for the people to walked pass. To many people, the Red sea that became a dry land is like a great miracle. But to God, He had already commanded water to give way to a dry land before the Red sea became a dry land. The book of Gen. 1:9 said, Then God said, ‘‘Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let dry land appear’’ and it was so and verse 10 said, And God called the dry land earth. Because of our un-believe/lack of faith in God, we human are so trouble when we are faced with a problem. It is about you knowing your God, the creator of heaven and earth, He is a powerful God.

He made the moon for the seasons; the sun knows the place of its setting. Psalm 104:19. We human does not know our to and fro, and this has caused us so many problems. As the sun knows it setting place no matter where it goes, we should all have a direction.

He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. Psalm 104:19

Why do you jealous your neighbour or your fellow brother/sister in Christ when things are going well with them. The book of Gen. 4:6-7 says then the Lord said to Cain, why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if thou doest not do well, sin lieth at your door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shall rule over him.

Do not commit evil against your neighbour because as human in flesh, we do not know those that have found favour with God Almighty, He always made a covenant with His own people [And God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them Exo. 2:24-25]. Book of Gen. 4:10-11 says, The Lord said, what hast thou done? The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand.
The book of Exodus 3:9-10 also said, now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me; and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. Even though Cain killed his brother, God also made a covenant with him. Gen. 4: 15, and the Lord said unto him, therefore whosoever slayest Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.

Some human being evil behaviours ways can be traced back to Cain descendants.
The bible made us understand from the book of Gen. 4 from verse 16 that after Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden, that Cain knew his wife and bare a son Enoch.
Unto Enoch was born Irad, Irad begat Mehujael, Mehujael begat Mehusael, and Mehusael begat Lamech.
Lamech has two wives, in verse 23, and Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, hear my voice ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech for I have slain a man for wounding me and a young man for hurting me.

Some righteous people can be traced back to the descendant of Seth. From Seth was born Enos, through him we were told men began to call upon the name of the Lord. Through the descendant of Seth begat Enoch who we were told in Gen. 5:25 that Enoch walked with God, that God took him. Bible also told us that Enoch begat Methuselah, Methuselah begat Lamech, Lamech begat Noah who was a just man and perfect in his generations and Noah walked with God [Gen. 6:9].
We may argue that Cain descendant was destroyed in the flood. Remember that God saved Noah with his wife, his two sons and the wife of his two sons. The question you should ask yourself, which descendant did Noah wife came from also which descendant did the two wives of Noah sons came from.
If the wives are from Cain descendant, this means some human’s behaviours are from Cain. These behaviours can be washed away with the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Once you are washed with the blood of Jesus Christ, you are separated from generation Cain evil blood [being born again].

Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, man lost the grace of God. And the Lord God said unto the woman, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow, thou shall bring forth children, and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying thou shall not eat of it; cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shall thou eat of it all days of thy life [Gen 3:16-19].
But man lost the spirit of God when man began to multiply on the face of the earth. And God said My spirit shall not always strive with man [Gen. 6:1-7].

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

But God sent His only begotten son to us. [But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God John 1: 12]. The book of John 3: 15-21 says that whoever believes in Him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not judged, he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the judgement, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. For every one who does evil hate the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.
From text taking from the book of John Chapter 3, we can see even though man lost the grace and spirit of God through sins, but He made a way out for man to receive the grace and spirit that was lost in the book of Gen. 3&6 through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him, we become children of God.

Success and failure of marriage or relationships

Success and failure of marriage or relationships

Successes and Failures of Marriages/Relationships

Relationship

The first day of meeting your choice of man and woman will define a successful or failure of marriage or relationship. What do I mean by the first day? The first day is very important, is the day most people bring doom or successful to their relationship of their partner?

Why did I say doom or successful?  To have a successful marriage/relationship, on your first day, you must open up, do not be carried away by the lust of the flesh i.e. beauty, wealth and so on. You must able to let the other party know everything about you, do not hide anything, because it may come back to hurt you. Tell the other party the real you, i.e. your past and background. Let the other party know if you are previously married, have child/children, your beliefs [religion], your education background, your business or type of work you do or out of work. Do not hide anything from him/her that he/she may find out or surface in the future that may bring about doom to the relationship. Most relationships fail because of not letting other party known about your past.

Some marriages or relationship fails after several years of been together due to lairs been told on the first day. We heard of marriages that come to an end after several years when suddenly a child or wife/husband will just surface from know were. Some will lie about their background, but when the other party suddenly found out, problem start, but if you have told the other party the truth of your past, all above examples will not cause marriage/relationship breakdown. As a child of God, we should tell the truth, and if the woman/man is for you, our faithful Father, Jehovah will do the rest. Men/women tell lies in their desperation forgetting what would happen later, some would like to say the truth on the first day, but they later delay it, but by delay it, but it may be too late.

True love is not about based on past events. If the other party knows about it before he/she got into the relationship. True love is not about money, facial beauty, class, ethnicity, education background. True love is blind to above, is all about the heart of Christ. A heart of Christ is forever, it does not lairs, the heart love one as he/she sees the person.

Righteousness

Righteousness

Righteousness

Praise and thanksgiving will flow when we recognize that the Lord, not we ourselves, will accomplish our victory and our deliverance.

Like Israelis, when we turned from the Lord, we faced oppression, impoverished, enslaved, and plundered by our enemies. When we turned back to Him, just like Israelis, we experienced deliverance, restoration, freedom, and victory. God calls us today to pursue Him and to walk in His ways, so that we can realize His purpose and blessing.

Trials and obstacles in our lives can require different responses, depending on their cause or purpose. If the cause is sin, we need to turn from sin and receive forgiveness. If purpose is to strengthen us and to instruct us in the way of spiritual warfare, we need to come closer to our Lord and be fervent in prayer believing God for deliverance, because our Lord is a faithful and gracious God that never fails.

Mentor the next generation to know and trust God. Teach them of His marvellous works so that they might grow up to serve and follow Him faithfully.

Lamb

Turn to the Lord, confessing your sin to Him because He will forgive you. His grace, compassion, and love are deeper than we can comprehend. He longs to deliver and restore you.

The qualities of wisdom are qualities of our Lord Jesus Christ. These qualities are obedience to God, right behaviour, patience, reliability, humidity, diligence and love. If you are a true Christian, you must have same qualities of wisdom as Christ. Holy Spirit is source of qualities I am talking about. Always ask God for above qualities of wisdom on your daily prayer.

A godly life is one live in righteousness. A righteous life is one lived according to God’s word. When you lived according to God’s word, you will find strong confidence and a place of refuge and protection. It will bring a fresh flow of life not just for you alone, but also to your children which are new life, satisfaction, blessing, joy and God love, favour, wealth, peace and other benefit

When you diligently keep your heart pure, your mouth from deceit, your eyes from straying from righteousness and your feet on an established path that lead away from evil also refraining from incessant talking, then you will be able to live an holy living that will lead you to devote yourself to God which involves giving daily of yourself, your obsessions, your thought, your heart and your life times decisions to the Lord. Let not mercy and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. By doing these, you will find favour and high esteem in the sight of God and man/woman. [Proverbs 3:3]

Those who walk by sight follow facts while those who walk by faith follow the truth. While facts are ephemeral, truth is everlasting. While facts are dynamic, truth is constant. Facts are empowered by earthly and sometimes satanic forces while truth is anchored in Heaven. There is a limit to which earthly or satanic forces can push facts, but God will forever stand by His truth.

You are either controlled by facts or by truth. Facts can sometimes be used by Satan to create doubt, fear, unbelief and discouragement. Truth is God’s weapon to subdue such evil weapons. When brought side by side, one must give way for the other. 2 Corinthians 13:8 says, “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth”. Truth is impregnable. If falsehood appears to gain ground over the truth, it is only for a moment. Eventually, truth shall prevail. That you have no money, or job is only a fact but not the truth.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy” (James 3:17). James 1:17 says all good and perfect gifts come from God. Godly wisdom is one of such. One outstanding trait of godly wisdom is purity. Being the first to be listed shows that purity is God’s priority.

Hear these children of God! Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. Though hail comes down on the forest, and the city is brought low in humiliation. Isaiah 32:16-19 [Please let us all pray for the Spirit from above to come upon us]

Children of God, please hear these words of our Lord Jesus Christ! ‘’ He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, he/she who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with hi/her hands, refusing bribes, who stops his/her ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his/her eyes from seeing evil: He/she will dwell on high; His/her place of defence will be fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him/her, His/her water will be sure’’, says the Lord. Isaiah 33:15-16

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.  Isaiah 35:4

God’s wisdom is full of mercy (James 3:17). Matthew 5:7 says it is the merciful that will receive mercy. This means that mercy responds to the principle of sowing and reaping. If you want mercy, show mercy to those in need and you will reap its harvest. No wonder Proverbs 11:17 say the merciful is only being merciful to himself or herself.
Has someone offended you and you feel like descending on the fellow with all your wrath? Remember that if only you could restrain yourself and show him or her some mercy, mercy will await you at your point of judgement. That housemaid, driver, cleaner, or messenger you do not regard today, may be your saving grace tomorrow. How merciful are you? Any advice or strategy that abhors mercy is not of God. If it emanates from God, it will bear the nature of God – mercy. This is another way of testing if a counsel is from God or not. In addition, the wisdom of God is full of good fruits. If you are full of God’s wisdom it will show in the overflow of love, gentleness, joy, peace, etc., that will be released to the outside world (Gal 5:22-23). If you have wisdom, you will retain your joy. If you allow the troubles around to steal the joy inside you, your loss will be colossal!

O household of the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield.
O those that have given their life to Jesus, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield. You, who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield.
Do not put your trust on work of men, such will let you down. The heavens, even the heavens, are the Lord’s. Put your trust on Him that created all things, because He shall surely bless those that fear/trust Him. Praise the Lord!

Joseph had a dream of his life which held unto. In spite of the fact that he had been sold into slavery, he knew that dream will still come to pass as long as he remained in God’s will and stood in righteousness. Joseph knew he was in Potiphar’s house for a divine purpose. He accepted it and remained there whether the going was good or bad. He waited patiently to learn what God wanted him to learn from his master. This is an area many believers have difficulty with today. Some people change their place of work, wife/husband, place of worship, friend with reckless abandon, not caring whether God wants them to go or not. As long as another offer that comes their way, off they go. Not Joseph! If you are ever jumping, you may completely get out of God’s will and miss your destiny. Stay where you are except God says otherwise.

Lesson on open doors you ought to know, is that even after you receive a permanent open door, the enemy would challenge it. Some people, who by their good deeds have been given a lasting open door, but now experience closed doors for failing to resist the devil, if you let the enemy shut your open doors, don’t expect God to intervene. If you give room to the devil, don’t expect God to stop him. If you want your door to remain open, do something about it. Vehemently resist the devil, stand on God’s Word, and continue to please God. Always remember you have your part to play in keeping the doors opened. For instance, anyone enjoying open doors but stray into a lifestyle of sin will most likely suffer from closed doors. Sustained obedience and keeping the faith in Christ are also necessary in maintaining your open doors, even when you lack the strength. If only you can continue to obey the Lord and refuse to go back to the world, the Lord will supply the strength you need to continue, and will keep your doors opened.
