Doing Good

Doing Good

Doing Good

A good man/woman is a benevolent, kind, genuine, pleasing, worthy, considerable, virtuous, excellent person. A person that promotes happiness and success.
As human beings, being good to one another is our primary objective on earth. God gave us a just and good commandment so that we can carry out His will, to love one another as we love ourselves.

We sometimes fail to carry out this just law due to past experiences or through hatred or lack of understanding of the word of the Lord. What I mean by past experiences is that people can sometimes pay back evil with evil or not show appreciation.

We sometimes stop helping or doing good to people/ or a person in need of help even though we are in a position to help. As Christians, we must help those in needs no matter what might have happened in the past.

As Christians, if we do not help or stop helping those in need and you are in a position to give that help but instead start giving excuses of your past experience, you are committing a sin before almighty God.

Any help you render to another person, whether the person remembers you or even pays you back with evil deed, God will surely pay you back as long you remain faithful. Stories of Joseph teach us the faithfulness of our Lord.

The Bible narrated the stories of Joseph while he was in the prison regarding the dream the chief butler had after the interpretation of the chief butler dream by Joseph. Book of Genesis 40:14 say, ‘‘think of me when it shall be well with thee, and show kindness, I pray thee, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh’’, but in verse 23 of the same book it says, ‘‘yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him’’. How many of us as such have happened to?

God had given us control over the earth, He also gave us just commandments to follow, and He also revealed the secret of the earth and Heaven to us through our Lord Jesus Christ so that everything can be well with us.

Joseph did have his reward from God because he remained faithful unto the Lord. The same thing can happen to you, if you remain faithful unto Him and continue to be good no matter what situation you find yourselves. The way God does thing, no one knows and the Bible tells us in Genesis 41:1, that at the end of two full years Pharaoh had a dream, but God did it in a way that no one excepted Joseph could interpret the dream [Genesis 41:8].

Do not think God has forgotten all the good deeds you have done. When the time for your reward shall come, it will happen in a miraculous way as it happened to Joseph.

The stories of Rahab the harlot is another one we should learn from, because of her kindness toward the two people Joshua sent to spy the land of Jericho, she found favour from God, not her alone, but the grace was extended to her family.

Joshua 2:1 says, Rahab the harlot took in the two people, in verse 2&3 it says, the king of Jericho asked Rahab to produce the two men, instead of producing them she hid them by putting herself in danger. In verse 12 of Joshua 2, she said unto the two men, ‘now therefore, I pray you, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father’s house.’

In verse 23, the two told Joshua of the event, and how Rahab saved them. The reward of her kindness came in Joshua 6:22-25; Rahab including all her family was saved from dead through her goodness and faithfulness.

In the book of Matthew 5:7; our Lord Jesus said ‘‘blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 25 from verse 31 says, when the Son of man shall come in glory, all nations shall gather before Him, and He shall separate them one from another. And He shall set the sheep on His right, then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you. For when I was hunger, ye gave me meat, I was thirst, ye gave me water, I was a stranger, and you took me inn. Naked, you clothed me: I was sick, you visited me, I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

In verse 40, He said “inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these brethren, ye have done in unto me.” We can see from our Lords teaching that when you give without expecting a reward from human beings, your reward shall surely come from Christ. Roman 12:13 says. Distributing to the necessity of saints, given to hospitality.

God bless

Breaking the yoke of Fear or Fearful, Failures, Insecurity, Witches

Breaking the yoke of Fear or Fearful, Failures, Insecurity, Witches

MAY, 2017

Without the gift of Holy Spirit, you cannot break free from above. People may give you confidence, but in your silent moment, you will still feel the same. You may indulge yourself in drinking, socialise, but in your silent moment, you will still feel the same. In public, a friend may build in you, words of confidence, even at Church, your Pastor may build in you words of encouragement, but in your silent moment, you will still feel the same. The only way you can break free from above is when the Holy Spirit is in you.
Let us examine above one by one.

Fear or being fearful means Fright/frightened, Horror, Panic, Afraid, Anxious, Nervous, tense timid, uneasy, scared.
The Holy Spirit will give you a fearless spirit and you will be unafraid.
Failures mean breakdown, collapse, defeat, downfall, overthrow, wreck, neglect, downfall, ruin,
Confidence means certainty, conviction, positivity, satisfaction, security, assurance, boldness, dauntless, fearlessness, self-assurance, self-reliance.

Insecurity means irrelevance, flimsy, unreliability, unsound, unstable, unimportant, negligible, meaningless.
Secure mean safe, immune, protected, firm, unassailable, immovable, stable, steady, assured, certain, sure, acquire, get, obtain, and procure.
The Bible made us know in Exodus 14:10 [When Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them, and they were sore afraid.
In verse 13, And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Verse 14 says, The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

God did fight for them through the Holy Spirit He bestowed on Moses.
Through the fearlessness of David, Goliath was defeated.
Through the fearless of Joseph, he refused the temptation of King Pharaoh’s wife.
And because of the Spirit of God in him, he was freed from prison, and he became an important person in Egypt.
Daniel proved that with God, you have nothing to fear for. In the book of Daniel 1:12, Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days: and let them give us pulses to eat and water to drink. And Bible made us understand in verse 15 that after the ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king’s meat.
Book of Proverbs 29:25 says, the fear of man brings a snare: however, whoso put his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
Psalm 23:4 – 6: Says, Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 27:1 Says, the Lord is my light [Holy Spirit] and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

” And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord. Exodus 14:10

Psalm 118:6 Says, the Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me.
Luke 12: 32 Says, Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Here we can see how our Lord Jesus Christ spoke about the gift of Holy Spirit. In this verse, He says, you can be confident about yourself, do not let anyone put you down or put yourself down, to God, you are a special person/people, and once you allow Holy Spirit to dwell in you, you are over-comer.
If you have a spirit of failure in you, you cannot achieve anything in life, but with the help of Holy Spirit, you can overcome this.
You become a failure when you have a spirit of fear when you loose confident in yourself. But with God, all things are possible.
Ezekiel 3: 14 Says, so the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness; in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.
If you allow Holy Spirit to lift you up, you can regain your confidence and be fearless.
Ezekiel 11:19- 20, Says, And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new Spirit within you, and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh. That they may walk in my statutes and keep mine ordinances, and do them, and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
2 Corinthians 3:6 Says, who also hath made us able ministers of the new- testament; not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.
