Righteousness

Praise and thanksgiving will flow when we recognize that the Lord, not we ourselves, will accomplish our victory and our deliverance.

Like Israelis, when we turned from the Lord, we faced oppression, impoverished, enslaved, and plundered by our enemies. When we turned back to Him, just like Israelis, we experienced deliverance, restoration, freedom, and victory. God calls us today to pursue Him and to walk in His ways, so that we can realize His purpose and blessing.

Trials and obstacles in our lives can require different responses, depending on their cause or purpose. If the cause is sin, we need to turn from sin and receive forgiveness. If purpose is to strengthen us and to instruct us in the way of spiritual warfare, we need to come closer to our Lord and be fervent in prayer believing God for deliverance, because our Lord is a faithful and gracious God that never fails.

Mentor the next generation to know and trust God. Teach them of His marvellous works so that they might grow up to serve and follow Him faithfully.

Turn to the Lord, confessing your sin to Him because He will forgive you. His grace, compassion, and love are deeper than we can comprehend. He longs to deliver and restore you.

The qualities of wisdom are qualities of our Lord Jesus Christ. These qualities are obedience to God, right behaviour, patience, reliability, humidity, diligence and love. If you are a true Christian, you must have same qualities of wisdom as Christ. Holy Spirit is source of qualities I am talking about. Always ask God for above qualities of wisdom on your daily prayer.

A godly life is one live in righteousness. A righteous life is one lived according to God’s word. When you lived according to God’s word, you will find strong confidence and a place of refuge and protection. It will bring a fresh flow of life not just for you alone, but also to your children which are new life, satisfaction, blessing, joy and God love, favour, wealth, peace and other benefit

When you diligently keep your heart pure, your mouth from deceit, your eyes from straying from righteousness and your feet on an established path that lead away from evil also refraining from incessant talking, then you will be able to live an holy living that will lead you to devote yourself to God which involves giving daily of yourself, your obsessions, your thought, your heart and your life times decisions to the Lord. Let not mercy and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. By doing these, you will find favour and high esteem in the sight of God and man/woman. [Proverbs 3:3]

Those who walk by sight follow facts while those who walk by faith follow the truth. While facts are ephemeral, truth is everlasting. While facts are dynamic, truth is constant. Facts are empowered by earthly and sometimes satanic forces while truth is anchored in Heaven. There is a limit to which earthly or satanic forces can push facts, but God will forever stand by His truth.

You are either controlled by facts or by truth. Facts can sometimes be used by Satan to create doubt, fear, unbelief and discouragement. Truth is God’s weapon to subdue such evil weapons. When brought side by side, one must give way for the other. 2 Corinthians 13:8 says, “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth”. Truth is impregnable. If falsehood appears to gain ground over the truth, it is only for a moment. Eventually, truth shall prevail. That you have no money, or job is only a fact but not the truth.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy” (James 3:17). James 1:17 says all good and perfect gifts come from God. Godly wisdom is one of such. One outstanding trait of godly wisdom is purity. Being the first to be listed shows that purity is God’s priority.

Hear these children of God! Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. Though hail comes down on the forest, and the city is brought low in humiliation. Isaiah 32:16-19 [Please let us all pray for the Spirit from above to come upon us]

Children of God, please hear these words of our Lord Jesus Christ! ‘’ He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, he/she who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with hi/her hands, refusing bribes, who stops his/her ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his/her eyes from seeing evil: He/she will dwell on high; His/her place of defence will be fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him/her, His/her water will be sure’’, says the Lord. Isaiah 33:15-16

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.  Isaiah 35:4

God’s wisdom is full of mercy (James 3:17). Matthew 5:7 says it is the merciful that will receive mercy. This means that mercy responds to the principle of sowing and reaping. If you want mercy, show mercy to those in need and you will reap its harvest. No wonder Proverbs 11:17 say the merciful is only being merciful to himself or herself.
Has someone offended you and you feel like descending on the fellow with all your wrath? Remember that if only you could restrain yourself and show him or her some mercy, mercy will await you at your point of judgement. That housemaid, driver, cleaner, or messenger you do not regard today, may be your saving grace tomorrow. How merciful are you? Any advice or strategy that abhors mercy is not of God. If it emanates from God, it will bear the nature of God – mercy. This is another way of testing if a counsel is from God or not. In addition, the wisdom of God is full of good fruits. If you are full of God’s wisdom it will show in the overflow of love, gentleness, joy, peace, etc., that will be released to the outside world (Gal 5:22-23). If you have wisdom, you will retain your joy. If you allow the troubles around to steal the joy inside you, your loss will be colossal!

O household of the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield.
O those that have given their life to Jesus, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield. You, who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield.
Do not put your trust on work of men, such will let you down. The heavens, even the heavens, are the Lord’s. Put your trust on Him that created all things, because He shall surely bless those that fear/trust Him. Praise the Lord!

Joseph had a dream of his life which held unto. In spite of the fact that he had been sold into slavery, he knew that dream will still come to pass as long as he remained in God’s will and stood in righteousness. Joseph knew he was in Potiphar’s house for a divine purpose. He accepted it and remained there whether the going was good or bad. He waited patiently to learn what God wanted him to learn from his master. This is an area many believers have difficulty with today. Some people change their place of work, wife/husband, place of worship, friend with reckless abandon, not caring whether God wants them to go or not. As long as another offer that comes their way, off they go. Not Joseph! If you are ever jumping, you may completely get out of God’s will and miss your destiny. Stay where you are except God says otherwise.

Lesson on open doors you ought to know, is that even after you receive a permanent open door, the enemy would challenge it. Some people, who by their good deeds have been given a lasting open door, but now experience closed doors for failing to resist the devil, if you let the enemy shut your open doors, don’t expect God to intervene. If you give room to the devil, don’t expect God to stop him. If you want your door to remain open, do something about it. Vehemently resist the devil, stand on God’s Word, and continue to please God. Always remember you have your part to play in keeping the doors opened. For instance, anyone enjoying open doors but stray into a lifestyle of sin will most likely suffer from closed doors. Sustained obedience and keeping the faith in Christ are also necessary in maintaining your open doors, even when you lack the strength. If only you can continue to obey the Lord and refuse to go back to the world, the Lord will supply the strength you need to continue, and will keep your doors opened.

Christian Responsibility Part Three

Christian Responsibility Part Three

Doing good

A good man or woman is a benevolent, a kind, a genuine, a pleasing, a worthy, a considerable, a virtuous, excellence person, a person that promote happiness and, success.

As humans, being good to one and other is our primary objective in this earth. God gave us just and good commandments so that we can carry out His will, to love one another as we love ourselves.

We sometimes fail to carry out this just law due to past experience or through hatred or lack of understanding of the word of the Lord. What I mean by past experience is people sometimes pay back with evil or not showing appreciation.

We sometimes stop helping or doing good to people/person in need of help even though we are in a position to help. As Christian, we must help those in need no matter what mine have happened in the past. As Christian, if we do not help or stop helping those in need and you are in a position to give that help by giving excuses of your past experience, you are committing a sin before almighty God. Any help you render to another person either the person remembers you or even pay you back with an evil deed, God will surely pay you back as long you remain faithful. Stories of Joseph teach us the faithfulness of our Lord. The Bible narrated the stories of Joseph while his was in the prison regarding the dream the chief butler had. After the interpretation of the chief butler dream by Joseph. Book of Genesis 40:14 say, ‘‘think of me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh’’, but in verse 23 of the same book says, ‘‘yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him’’. How many of us as such have happened to. Joseph did have his reward from God because he remained faithful unto the Lord. The same thing can happen to you, if you remain faithful unto Him and continue to be good no matter what situation you find yourselves. Ways God does thing, no one knows, because the Bible tells us in Genesis 41:1, that at the end of two full years Pharaoh had a dream, but God did it in a way that no one except Joseph could interpret the dream [Genesis 41:8]. Do not thing God have forgotten all the good deed you have done. When the time for your reward shall come, it will happen in a miraculous way as it happened to Joseph.

‘‘think of me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh’’

The stories of Rahab the harlot is another one we should learn from. Because of her kindness toward the two people Joshua sent to spy the land of Jericho,
She found favour from God, not her alone, but the grace was extended to her family.
Joshua 2:1 says, Rahab the harlot took inn the two people, in verse 2&3 says, the king of Jericho asked Rahab to produced the two men, instead of producing them she hid them by putting herself in danger. In verse 12 of Joshua 2, she said unto the two men, ‘now therefore, I pray you, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father’s house.’’ In verse 23, the two told Joshua of the event, how Rahab save them.
The reward of her kindness came in Joshua 6:22-25; Rahab including all her family was save from dead through her goodness and faithfulness.

In the book of Matthew 5:7; our Lord Jesus said ‘‘blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 25 from verse 31 says, when the Son of man shall come in glory, all nations shall gather before Him, and He shall separate them one from another. And He shall set the sheep on His right, then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you. For when I was hunger, ye gave me meat, I was thirst, ye gave me water, I was a stranger, and you took me inn. Naked, you clothed me: I was sick, you visited me, I was in prison, and ye came unto me. In verse 40, He said, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these brethren, ye have done in unto me.

We can see from our Lord teaching that when you give without expecting a reward from human being, your reward shall surely come from Christ. Roman 12:13 says. Distributing to the necessity of saints: given to hospitality. God bless.
