Righteousness

Praise and thanksgiving will flow when we recognize that the Lord, not we ourselves, will accomplish our victory and our deliverance.

Like Israelis, when we turned from the Lord, we faced oppression, impoverished, enslaved, and plundered by our enemies. When we turned back to Him, just like Israelis, we experienced deliverance, restoration, freedom, and victory. God calls us today to pursue Him and to walk in His ways, so that we can realize His purpose and blessing.

Trials and obstacles in our lives can require different responses, depending on their cause or purpose. If the cause is sin, we need to turn from sin and receive forgiveness. If purpose is to strengthen us and to instruct us in the way of spiritual warfare, we need to come closer to our Lord and be fervent in prayer believing God for deliverance, because our Lord is a faithful and gracious God that never fails.

Mentor the next generation to know and trust God. Teach them of His marvellous works so that they might grow up to serve and follow Him faithfully.

Lamb

Turn to the Lord, confessing your sin to Him because He will forgive you. His grace, compassion, and love are deeper than we can comprehend. He longs to deliver and restore you.

The qualities of wisdom are qualities of our Lord Jesus Christ. These qualities are obedience to God, right behaviour, patience, reliability, humidity, diligence and love. If you are a true Christian, you must have same qualities of wisdom as Christ. Holy Spirit is source of qualities I am talking about. Always ask God for above qualities of wisdom on your daily prayer.

A godly life is one live in righteousness. A righteous life is one lived according to God’s word. When you lived according to God’s word, you will find strong confidence and a place of refuge and protection. It will bring a fresh flow of life not just for you alone, but also to your children which are new life, satisfaction, blessing, joy and God love, favour, wealth, peace and other benefit

When you diligently keep your heart pure, your mouth from deceit, your eyes from straying from righteousness and your feet on an established path that lead away from evil also refraining from incessant talking, then you will be able to live an holy living that will lead you to devote yourself to God which involves giving daily of yourself, your obsessions, your thought, your heart and your life times decisions to the Lord. Let not mercy and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. By doing these, you will find favour and high esteem in the sight of God and man/woman. [Proverbs 3:3]

Those who walk by sight follow facts while those who walk by faith follow the truth. While facts are ephemeral, truth is everlasting. While facts are dynamic, truth is constant. Facts are empowered by earthly and sometimes satanic forces while truth is anchored in Heaven. There is a limit to which earthly or satanic forces can push facts, but God will forever stand by His truth.

You are either controlled by facts or by truth. Facts can sometimes be used by Satan to create doubt, fear, unbelief and discouragement. Truth is God’s weapon to subdue such evil weapons. When brought side by side, one must give way for the other. 2 Corinthians 13:8 says, “For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth”. Truth is impregnable. If falsehood appears to gain ground over the truth, it is only for a moment. Eventually, truth shall prevail. That you have no money, or job is only a fact but not the truth.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy” (James 3:17). James 1:17 says all good and perfect gifts come from God. Godly wisdom is one of such. One outstanding trait of godly wisdom is purity. Being the first to be listed shows that purity is God’s priority.

Hear these children of God! Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. Though hail comes down on the forest, and the city is brought low in humiliation. Isaiah 32:16-19 [Please let us all pray for the Spirit from above to come upon us]

Children of God, please hear these words of our Lord Jesus Christ! ‘’ He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, he/she who despises the gain of oppressions, who gestures with hi/her hands, refusing bribes, who stops his/her ears from hearing of bloodshed, and shuts his/her eyes from seeing evil: He/she will dwell on high; His/her place of defence will be fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him/her, His/her water will be sure’’, says the Lord. Isaiah 33:15-16

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.  Isaiah 35:4

God’s wisdom is full of mercy (James 3:17). Matthew 5:7 says it is the merciful that will receive mercy. This means that mercy responds to the principle of sowing and reaping. If you want mercy, show mercy to those in need and you will reap its harvest. No wonder Proverbs 11:17 say the merciful is only being merciful to himself or herself.
Has someone offended you and you feel like descending on the fellow with all your wrath? Remember that if only you could restrain yourself and show him or her some mercy, mercy will await you at your point of judgement. That housemaid, driver, cleaner, or messenger you do not regard today, may be your saving grace tomorrow. How merciful are you? Any advice or strategy that abhors mercy is not of God. If it emanates from God, it will bear the nature of God – mercy. This is another way of testing if a counsel is from God or not. In addition, the wisdom of God is full of good fruits. If you are full of God’s wisdom it will show in the overflow of love, gentleness, joy, peace, etc., that will be released to the outside world (Gal 5:22-23). If you have wisdom, you will retain your joy. If you allow the troubles around to steal the joy inside you, your loss will be colossal!

O household of the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield.
O those that have given their life to Jesus, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield. You, who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord, He is your help and your shield.
Do not put your trust on work of men, such will let you down. The heavens, even the heavens, are the Lord’s. Put your trust on Him that created all things, because He shall surely bless those that fear/trust Him. Praise the Lord!

Joseph had a dream of his life which held unto. In spite of the fact that he had been sold into slavery, he knew that dream will still come to pass as long as he remained in God’s will and stood in righteousness. Joseph knew he was in Potiphar’s house for a divine purpose. He accepted it and remained there whether the going was good or bad. He waited patiently to learn what God wanted him to learn from his master. This is an area many believers have difficulty with today. Some people change their place of work, wife/husband, place of worship, friend with reckless abandon, not caring whether God wants them to go or not. As long as another offer that comes their way, off they go. Not Joseph! If you are ever jumping, you may completely get out of God’s will and miss your destiny. Stay where you are except God says otherwise.

Lesson on open doors you ought to know, is that even after you receive a permanent open door, the enemy would challenge it. Some people, who by their good deeds have been given a lasting open door, but now experience closed doors for failing to resist the devil, if you let the enemy shut your open doors, don’t expect God to intervene. If you give room to the devil, don’t expect God to stop him. If you want your door to remain open, do something about it. Vehemently resist the devil, stand on God’s Word, and continue to please God. Always remember you have your part to play in keeping the doors opened. For instance, anyone enjoying open doors but stray into a lifestyle of sin will most likely suffer from closed doors. Sustained obedience and keeping the faith in Christ are also necessary in maintaining your open doors, even when you lack the strength. If only you can continue to obey the Lord and refuse to go back to the world, the Lord will supply the strength you need to continue, and will keep your doors opened.

Christian Responsibility Part Three

Christian Responsibility Part Three

Doing good

A good man or woman is a benevolent, a kind, a genuine, a pleasing, a worthy, a considerable, a virtuous, excellence person, a person that promote happiness and, success.

As humans, being good to one and other is our primary objective in this earth. God gave us just and good commandments so that we can carry out His will, to love one another as we love ourselves.

We sometimes fail to carry out this just law due to past experience or through hatred or lack of understanding of the word of the Lord. What I mean by past experience is people sometimes pay back with evil or not showing appreciation.

We sometimes stop helping or doing good to people/person in need of help even though we are in a position to help. As Christian, we must help those in need no matter what mine have happened in the past. As Christian, if we do not help or stop helping those in need and you are in a position to give that help by giving excuses of your past experience, you are committing a sin before almighty God. Any help you render to another person either the person remembers you or even pay you back with an evil deed, God will surely pay you back as long you remain faithful. Stories of Joseph teach us the faithfulness of our Lord. The Bible narrated the stories of Joseph while his was in the prison regarding the dream the chief butler had. After the interpretation of the chief butler dream by Joseph. Book of Genesis 40:14 say, ‘‘think of me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh’’, but in verse 23 of the same book says, ‘‘yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgot him’’. How many of us as such have happened to. Joseph did have his reward from God because he remained faithful unto the Lord. The same thing can happen to you, if you remain faithful unto Him and continue to be good no matter what situation you find yourselves. Ways God does thing, no one knows, because the Bible tells us in Genesis 41:1, that at the end of two full years Pharaoh had a dream, but God did it in a way that no one except Joseph could interpret the dream [Genesis 41:8]. Do not thing God have forgotten all the good deed you have done. When the time for your reward shall come, it will happen in a miraculous way as it happened to Joseph.

‘‘think of me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh’’

The stories of Rahab the harlot is another one we should learn from. Because of her kindness toward the two people Joshua sent to spy the land of Jericho,
She found favour from God, not her alone, but the grace was extended to her family.
Joshua 2:1 says, Rahab the harlot took inn the two people, in verse 2&3 says, the king of Jericho asked Rahab to produced the two men, instead of producing them she hid them by putting herself in danger. In verse 12 of Joshua 2, she said unto the two men, ‘now therefore, I pray you, since I have showed you kindness, that ye will also show kindness unto my father’s house.’’ In verse 23, the two told Joshua of the event, how Rahab save them.
The reward of her kindness came in Joshua 6:22-25; Rahab including all her family was save from dead through her goodness and faithfulness.

In the book of Matthew 5:7; our Lord Jesus said ‘‘blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 25 from verse 31 says, when the Son of man shall come in glory, all nations shall gather before Him, and He shall separate them one from another. And He shall set the sheep on His right, then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you. For when I was hunger, ye gave me meat, I was thirst, ye gave me water, I was a stranger, and you took me inn. Naked, you clothed me: I was sick, you visited me, I was in prison, and ye came unto me. In verse 40, He said, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these brethren, ye have done in unto me.

We can see from our Lord teaching that when you give without expecting a reward from human being, your reward shall surely come from Christ. Roman 12:13 says. Distributing to the necessity of saints: given to hospitality. God bless.

Christian Responsibility Part Two

Christian Responsibility Part Two

Parents Responsibility towards their child/children

Responsibility means, being responsible, a moral obligation or duty, to be in charge or entrust, a thing one is responsible for.

As a parent, we all moral responsibility toward our child/children, we are the sole guardian of our children.
As a parent, God has made you a guardian of your children, once you have a child, your first priory is the child welfare and the child future.

What are our moral responsibilities?

As a responsible parent, we should be a good guardian by making sure we take good care of our child/children so that they can be of good behaviour and obedient child in our home, the society, and community also in the church of God.

Taking good care of a child is not through monetary only, but as a father or a mother, we should make sure our child is well behaved by been a good example [a good role model] to your child/children.
A house that have no peace, there is no way a child from such home will be of a good behaviour. Bible teaches us our responsibility toward our children in Ephesians 6:4, ye father, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Parents; bring your child up in God way.

A peaceful home creates a good environment to bring up a child, we can do this by not bring home outside pressures, work or business frustration to our home, by not having heated argument that will lead to a fight with your partner, also by not getting drunk or high on drugs.
Always being patience with your child/children, also able to correct their wrong doings at the initial stage. You can only do this if you allow the Spirit to always abide you. If Spirit of the Lord abides in you, you will able to overcome/destroy satanic tricks that may come your way or into your child/children life.

A peaceful home creates a good environment to bring up a child, we can do this by not bring home outside pressures, work or business frustration to our home, by not having heated argument that will lead to a fight with your partner, also by not getting drunk or high in drugs.

We should all learn from Eli the priest. Bible tells us in 1 Samuel 2:12 that the sons of Eli were sons of Be-li-ia; they knew not the Lord. Even though Eli was a priest, sons knew not God. In verse 23 of 1 Samuel 2; Eli said to his sons, why do ye such thing? For I hear of your evil dealings by all these people. As we can see from Eli statement that he left it too late to speak to his children or perhaps he was busy doing other things that he was unable to know or understand his sons. Bible tells us that, because of his son’s behaviour, he himself committed a sin before Almighty Lord. 1 Samuel 2:27-36 tells us what befall Eli and his sons.

As Christian and guardian of our children, we should teach our child/children in the way of our Lord so that they can bring peace to us, the society and themselves. Remember, on the last day, we shall ask about how we brought up our children. There is no point of us blaming the government, the society or the school. All children should be taught and corrected at home by the parents on how to behave. Because of work, business and pressures, we sometimes neglect our moral obligations toward our child/children. There is no point of having all the money or property when your child/children are or are of no good to you, and themselves or the society.
A proud parent will surely have a proud child, a drunkard, gambling, liar, thief, fighting parent or parents we surely have such child/children. We should all lives examples lives so that he or she can learn from parent’s good behaviours. We should have a personal relationship with our children; personal relationship does not necessary means material things. We some say, my son or daughter should have whatever they want; money can not buy happiness or good behaviours. By staying close with your family, you will able to understand and also know them better.
Sometimes children would misbehave to seek the attention of the parent, once they star this behaviour, it sometimes difficult for that child to come out of that behaviour.
Parents, please correct your child from their infant age, do not leave it too late as Eli the priest did. Stop blaming the society for your child wrongs. Do not be afraid to correct your child misbehaviour. Always be prayerful for your family and God shall surely answer your prayer. Do not let the name of God to blaspheme through your child action. God has given you these children for you to take proper care of them. Remember, as you want God to take good care of you, your child/children also want same from you, when you do this, our Lord Jesus Christ we surely take good care of your household for you. Please, let us apportion time for our family, it may be one hour before they go to bed, it is very important that we find time for our family. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 20:11 that a child is known by his or her doings, whether his/her work is pure, and whether it is right. We can see from above Bible verse that whatever your child did, either god or bad, at the end it affects the parents. In Proverbs 22:6, is said ‘train up a child in the way he or she should go: and when he/she is old, he/she will not depart from it. It is very important that we all train our child/children the right way of God so that they can bring glory to God almighty and your family.

The big problem that faces us this day is the issue of single parenthood. As Christian, this should never cross your mind, some women/men of this day believed that they can bring up their child/children on their own, though society accept this notion, but any true Christian should abstain from this devil notion. It is the responsibility of both parents to look after the child/children. No matter what problem devil try to bring to separate a family, there is what we call Agape love, it means husband and wife should stay together no matter the problem may be. Remember you are both the guardian of your child, and you will be asked on the judgment day. Please, do not lose your kingdom as Eli the priest did.
I pray that the Spirit of our Lord will teach us all and direct our home. I pray that all satanic forces in our home shall be destroy in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Remember, no matter what problem will face, Christ is there for us. Take your problem to Him; do not let the problem destroy you home.

Christian Responsibility Part One

Christian Responsibility Part One

Our Responsibility towards Society

What are our responsibilities toward our nations God had given to us all?
hy did God create us?
hat can you do to make the society a better place to live?
As a Christian, what are my responsibilities?

Responsibility means, a state of responsibility, the opportunity or ability to act independently and take a decision without authorisation. It also means a thing which one is required to do as part of a job, role or legal obligation.
Responsibility means having control over or care of someone, being the primary cause of something and so able to take blame or take credit for the action taken. It also can mean, morally accountable for one’s behaviours.

From above definitions, one can see our moral obligation toward the society our God has given unto us. Genesis 1:27 tell us that God created man in His image. In verse 28, He said be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth and subdue it [subdue mean, to overcome and to bring under control] and have dominion over all living thing that move upon the earth. Verse 31 tells us that everything He created is good. How can we then blame God for our society problem, remember, He send His only begotten Son to redeem us, He also die for us so that society can be a better place to live in [John 3:16].

God had given us control over the earth, He also gave us just commandments to follow, and He also revealed the secret of the earth and Heaven to us through our Lord Jesus Christ so that everything can be well with us. [Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known unto us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself Ephesians 1:8-9. Are you carrying out your obligation? If God in His kindness had made you the head of a home, society, work or an organisation, are you carrying out your moral duties?

God had given us control over the earth, He also gave us just commandments to follow, and He also revealed the secret of the earth and Heaven to us through our Lord Jesus Christ so that everything can be well with us.

We should not just sit and wait for God to come down, He has done that, and His next coming is for judgement. God has given us the necessary weapon to fight Satan, that weapon is our Lord Jesus Christ which is love.

Bible tells us; if you are a husband, you should be a good husband and God fearing husband [Ephesians 5:25-33]. Wife, submit yourselves to your husband [Ephesians 5: 22-24] Children, obey your parent [Ephesians 6:1-3]. Servant, be obedient to them that are your master according to the flesh [Ephesians 6:5-8]. Master, forbearing threatening [Ephesians 6:9]. We can also see Paul letter to people of Colossians [Colossians 3:18-25 and Colossians 4:1]. 1 Peter 2: 2-13 tell us how to obey the law of a nation and the people that govern such nation. Verse 18-21 and 1 Peter 3: 1-8. Also, tells us how to lives as a true Christian. Titus 3:1-9 tell us to be a true Christian. It said, put them in mind to subject power, to obey magistrates, ready to every good work. Speak no evil of no man, but gentle, showing meekness unto all men

Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded us in Matthew 28:19-20, go ye therefore and teach all nations, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. If therefore you are being commanded to make the society a better place by our Lord
Jesus Christ, time have now come for you and me to be renewed in the Spirit of mind and put on the new man which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness [Ephesians 4:23-29].

Philippians 2:5 say, let this be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Colossians 3:12-16 tell us, as an elect of God, put on, therefore, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness. Forbearing one another and forgiving one another, put on charity which is a bond of perfection. Let the peace of God rule in your hearts and let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom. Colossians 4:5-6 say, walk in wisdom toward them that are without. And let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Remember what Psalm 119:105 say, thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. This mean, let the world see Christ in you. A servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men [2 Timothy 2:24]
